88 points per year for 9 years is 792 which is approximately 114x7 (one more point per rule broken than everton got as city didn't cooperate - the punishment for not cooperating should always be worse than for those who do cooperate).

Everton got a 6 point deduction for a single rule after cooperating, so 1 point per rule is not enough. It should be 88 point deduction every season for 9 years (for every year they cheated). Plus a transfer ban, being sued by every club for loss of revenue and being stripped of all their trophies.

Yeah, made the mistake of trying to educate him on why using deaths to point score is 1) a shitty thing to do and 2) irrelevant to a conversation about cheating but he is just an entrenched city fan who can't accept his club have cheated and deserve to be punished.

You have no fucking idea do you? Do you know what the punishment was for the fans? It was being found guilty and put in prison. So, yes, that was adequate. The club was kicked out of europe for 5 years. The same punishment for all English clubs because of Thatcher.

Its the closest to putting city back to where they should have been when they started cheating (mid table/fighting relegation/bouncing to championship). Even if it can only be applied when they are in PL, they spend a decade bouncing between PL and championship. Their players will leave.

I'd only want titles to be stripped (and correctly awarded) if it was *part* of their punishment. I think there are a lot of clubs who could take legal action and city could end up paying £bns. My husband's idea is a 50 point deduction every year they were found to be cheating would be sufficient.

I may just be speaking for myself here but, while i sound grumpy as fuck, i'm actually pretty sanguine about it all. Ultimately i'll support whoever plays each week and the manager. There is nothing I can (or ever could have done) about the transfers and it makes no difference to my actual life.

But gakpo is also back up to Isak (and i think he'll get most of his minutes there). We've yet to see chiesa be available for more than a month at a time and riots minutes still need to be carefully managed. In reality that leaves us with barcola and munoz who will be just wingers & mostly available

I don't think you did overreact. We let salah, konate, robbo, jones and elliot go and got in barcola, aruajo, Jacquet and munoz. We were already down on senior numbers last season and are now in a worst position in that respect now.

While I love that about our squad I do worry that RH has looked at, for example, gakpo as a potential second choice left wing, striker (for next 6 months) and 1st choice right wing and thinks thats a lot of depth when he can only play in one of those positions at once and will need his own rest.
