You don't know what a remaster is then. The game was completely remade and it shows.

Uh, no. The game is shorter, both main story alone and including everything. Just because you visit more places doesn't mean the game is actually bigger. Locations like Edgar's castle you spend like 10 minutes there, tops. In a remake I'm sure they'd make it a 3 hour segment for no reason.

Meanwhile Falcom is able to make a remake of Trails in the Sky with no budget that's super faithful to the original and everyone loves it. But apparently FFVI needs 5 games. Yeah, okay. VII could have been done in less games. Both Remake and Rebirth had massive amounts of filler.

Absolutely. I think it makes no sense how, outside the genre categories, there’s nothing gameplay-specific in there. Like all the major categories are just straight up copied from the film industry.
