Especially in the current political climate! Especially if you grew up Pre-Glee, Pre-Nationwide Marriage Equality (2015 btw), Pre-(let’s be honest)-Covid! There are a LOT of reasons why someone may choose to stay closeted… a safe environment being a HUGE one. It is a BIG decision.
