It's really 3 times. He's trapped in a loveless marriage and taking it out on everyone else

Karl Roche @karlroche.bsky.social · 27/03/2025

Thinking about this, it depends on the course as to how many riders are left and the type of finish. Some parcours are going to have a larger field & others much slower uphill

I think the idea is to either remove them or not have the last 5km like this. Some of the riders need to take responsibility too. There was some very bad riding - it is often someone else that gets hurt

I've seen U16's be less choppy than that last 5km

We are only just into the third month of this clown show.

What legislation to get people to work? The Transformation Fund is to pay civil servant exit costs and bring in AI/Tech. No mention of the apprenticeship guarantee. Labour have a 138 or so majority so this is as good as done.

Can I just get off this ride somewhere? Seems like it's just self-destructing

Try to actually build some social housing in this country owned by councils. Don't leave it to the private sector, they won't do it. 1. provides employment 2. reduces cost of housing 3. which means people can spend more 4. save NHS billions 5. better employment hqnetwork.co.uk/news/social-...

The endless analysis of their lives and performance means many are close to the edge a lot of the time.

Sporza means you have the sound but can't understand the air-filing stupidity (if there is some). Pet hate - commentators that invent nicknames for riders which they have never had.

The other day I was like, oh he is still racing.

Daughter has put together a package for potential sponsors to help this season as she has no team in 2025. More information on her blog zoerochecycling.wordpress.com/about-me/

I think Corran is the first UK rider since Cam left on MTB team. I'm sure he will be off doing a snow race soon. Line joining is interesting as she was the best junior of her group and made transition to U23/elite in '22 but in '23-24 lots of issues.

Trinity is the team but they have UCI reg Trinity Racing MTB-XC (it's just UCI admin). You can see the teams on Malacarne profile www.uci.org/rider-detail.... This year they dropped the MTB in the name bit. Batten, Blevins & Teocchi all passed through MTB side.

110

Karl Roche @karlroche.bsky.social · 08/02/2025

They've had a MTB team for 3 or 4 years now

Although this utterly tragic and seems to be a fairly common occurrence, it contrasts with the coverage about the death of another young person in the same week. However, they were killed by a driver in a car. Some stuff is just normalised

This summarises the responses I've had looking for support, contacts or advice for Zoe this year: "We are not in a position to offer you any financial assistance for this season. We are not aware of any Junior teams that would suit you." It's been like shouting into a void the rest of the time
