met our new landlady yesterday, she reassured us that nothing will change, our rents wouldn't go up, no big renovations, no evictions. apparently making a profit isn't much of a concern to her, as her family is rich, and she just wants a few properties to pass down to her toddler when they're older.

a couple of days ago, while my spouse was taking a shower, the shower head fell on her head and she was bleeding. we didn't want to take any chances so we went to the ER in case that she needed stitches. we waiting 6 hours before leaving and went to a private clinic who saw us in 15 minutes...

every day the moment I look the most forward to is taking my edibles in the evening. for a couple of hours I can't keep a train of thought, so my brain can't worry about the cats, my illness, our housing situation, money problems; I fully disconnect and forget about my worries. it's freeing.

Sorry if this is too much sadposting. I don't think I've experienced any joy since June of 2025, after the passing of our first cat, Kiki, and it's only gotten worse since November when we lost our second cat, Moogly. I don't know what to do at this point, I'm just so tired of feeling like this.

I don't know how to not worry so much about the wellbeing of my cats. I always worry about them, as they often get into trouble, stuff like chewing cables & whatnot. How do I make so that it doesn't eat me from the inside? Do I just not get attached to them? Build a barrier between me and them?
