I just had the pleasure of reading Em Hammond's graphic novel Being Eve. What a wonderful depiction of neurodivergent adolescent friendship and self-advocacy! NeuroWild's fantastic illustrations perfectly complement the engaging dialogue and text.

I love this idea of enactivism as a lens to understand monotropism. So much about my environment and forced schedule has drastically impacted my experience of the world and my cognitive and emotional experiences due to my access (or lack thereof) to flow states.

Our neighborhood cat friend visited recently. I'm not sure what he was after--at this time of year it could be birds, lizards, bugs. We call him Orange and White Kitty. I think he is the son of Mama Kitty, a lovely old calico who also lived across the street.

"Dessert" books? 🤮 My kid was an avid book reader until about 3rd grade. Just a few years of school attitudes about reading quashed their interest. Logs, required comprehension questions during the first time reading a text, filling in templates to identify "parts of a story".. Joy gone.
