The geese on the lake were more sure footed than I was on my bike today. Black ice on campus caught me out. Bruises to shin, knee, a sore hand/wrist and a broken mirror. Luckily it had gone for the homeward journey #cycling #birds #rdguk

Chilly start to the day as a #parkrun volunteer at Reading Parkrun. Fun to congratulate everyone on their achievements and scan their barcodes.

#OpenData research data loss funnel #SeanHill #OAI14 - for every 100 datasets generated, only 1 is shared + FAIR + Cited. Only 1% of research data reaches this gold standard. The investment in generating the data is lost. Delays opportunities/potential/discovery. Why is it lost?
