The first DGUK show in Oxford in 2009. Mark Sloan made sure to give us the authentic DG product, but he also made sure to put Ben front & centre. As he should have been. After the show, Ben & his Mum insisted on getting dinner for all the DG guys because they had taken such care of him in Japan

was at this show. the thing with pac is that if he was on the card it didn’t matter who else was there because you knew he would give your more than your moneys worth

some of my favourite wrestling shows I went to live were the dragon gate uk shows, and pac was a big fucking reason for that. those uk tours were so much fun, and I’ll forever cherish them. pac was one of one. this month has had a lot of fucking loss and everything feels very heavy.

absolutely like London will always be where I’m from and the biggest part of why I’m the way I am and who I am, but wales is also very much home now

work is chaos and life is expensive and so last night I had to rely on a group of men to end my working week on a good note, but luckily they came through

cardiff devils at the end of the game having beat manchester storm 4-2

was fabulously lucky to have been able to talk to her on numerous occasions and I came away all the better for it every time she had an astoundingly warm and powerful presence

expected behaviour from Kraft. Sheeran is a pathetic coward who should’ve stood up for Macklemore because I fucking guarantee those venues would’ve been on the hook financially in some way if they’d followed through with that threat. Sheeran had the power and he chose not to use it.

Still patiently waiting to be "left behind" by AI rather than it chasing me across every damn space like a slasher in a low budget flick.

like this is just the latest in a long line of reprehensible shit that org has done in the last few years. and yeah, a lot of teams would probably do the same things or at least considered making those choices, but much like vegas the oilers are the ones who actually did it.

A roadie once told me about working on one of Dolly Parton’s tours years ago: On the first day of rehearsals, she arrived and gathered the whole crew around to introduce herself. She then lifted her shirt and said “there they are, now you’ve seen ‘em, let’s get to work.” RIP Queen.

always wary of 4k restorations but the Trainspotting one is stunning and loses nothing from the original (which I watched when I was far too young and immediately loved) so so great to watch it on a big screen

kara @karas.bsky.social · 19/08/2026

labour lost my vote a long time ago, and I’m lucky to live somewhere where I have a genuine alternative, but watching them continue to abandon their base is wild a labour party does NOT sell out the most vulnerable for profit and bigotry and yet that’s what they continue to do.

ah yes some rage after an early dentist appointment, just what I wanted on a wednesday morning. things like this are why it’s always LGB with the T, because those of us who had their schooling through the section 28 years recognise with a fury what is being done to trans people in this country

truly can’t wait to be at the rink this weekend because I don’t remember the last time I was cold

it was Tony and it was perfect and I’ve been awake for approx 32 hours now running on snatched hour naps and so I cried but it’s fine

010

kara @karas.bsky.social · 11/08/2026

a v good couch nap has probably helped with a second wind for attempting this

010

kara @karas.bsky.social · 11/08/2026

don’t know if it’s the smartest thing to try and make the cinema mystery screening tonight because the rumour is that it’s Tony but I think seeing it the same day I get off a flight would really be a vibe so let’s see what happens

010

when I landed the man sitting next to me started having a conversation with chatgpt about the movies he’d watched on the plane. somehow sums up the hell we are living in idk

the fact the woman who once said carer’s allowance was a wage replacement benefit (when it was about £45 a week for a minimum of 35 hours work) is now health secretary is horrendous

having worked around elderly people in my last job it really is wild how you could tell the difference between the ones who had kept active and the ones who hadn’t. like no one can predict what will happen to your health but you can at least give yourself a chance to stay fit.
