Inaugural Ticket to Ride on the new table topper!
Completed 4 player Ticket to Ride game with 4 players using custom 4d printed trains in green, blue, orange, and red.

The game is on a large train themed 3d printed table topper

I dont break the tiles down all the way since I have a place to tuck the 4 big panels, but here is everything broken down for storage. Thanks for following along with my crazy 3d printed game table test!

Here we are partly set up for Ticket to Ride (we use the legacy board instead of the US map these days) Might not be quite enough space for all the trains in the components car, and the side with 2 players in a 5 player fame won't be too useful, but we play with 3 or 4 most often so minor...

Finished. There will be minor spoilers for Ticket to Ride Legends of the West in the next post (full map face down, so only revealing most of the region names. I covered a couple with the rule book).
Completed stagetop game table surrounded with train themed rails there a two cars of each color: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. One car for each color is a card holder and the other a component holder. There are 4 white cars, one on each side, and the corners are train stations in blue red orange and green

So close! 15 more clips and we are golden! I'm particularly thrilled with how the depots for the corners came out.

Out of clips again, but I've discovered an important tip! The rails go on last for themed rails.

Alright! A fresh batch of twist on clips. Let's get those rails attached (and print more since there was an adhesion issue..)
A pile of stagetop tiles lock clips in purple and maroon with which to attach the station themed rails to the core table

Kaptaran @kaptaran.bsky.social · 14/12/2025
I'm out of clips to attach the rail, but here are all the paytiles and rail ready to be attached. We all have our own color for all the games we play, so the rails are printed to correspond to that

Time for legs! I used the AMS to print the "concrete" bone white and the "metal" in yellow or purple. These screw into the brace clips

While not required, I like to use braces to make the table a little stronger, especially at this size. These brace clips screw in to the center of each tile. Legs can then screw in to the clips

I'm still within 24 hours of this post, so I'm saying it's still #Daggerheart Winsday! First draft of a daggerheart player dashboard (inspired by makersarcane.com) is done. Lots of work to be done for the white inserts (for wet erase markers), but I'm very happy with the base.

Overnight print of a bunch of frog legs! I try to split minis and print the legs upside down to reduce supports. Sometimes it even works. These will be Barnacle minis for the Daggerheart one-shots I'm running at Playthrough Games Convention in Raleigh NC Oct 4th and 5th.

I really like @delvewithhope.com's idea of allowing players to make their own mini out of play dough when running at a con, but I think I'm going to 3d print them like I do for my hone game. My AMS is acting up a little, making multicolor more challenging than usual, but I think this Varian Soto...

Hats off to the @dodoborne.com podcast. I'm ashamed to admit I'm only now getting around to listening, but it is soooo good! I just got to the big payoff in episode 1.8. So worth it! Every episode has been very entertaining. A great mix of lightheartedness and drama. Great storytelling!
