In the imagination of the Artificial Intelligentsia, you can somehow pluck everything you need for a less resourced language out of the ether, and the LLM will preserve that linguistic knowledge with super-human fluency. It's called "zero shot", and there are actual academic papers that buy it

We built EmojiWorldBot app for Telegram, that uses emojis as pivot among languages. It worked, to a point - 🦻🏼 connects ears among languages, but 🍎2️⃣🍎 won't translate. We couldn't keep up with new Emoji releases, tho, a few dozen/yr across over 70 languages, for a fairly arbitrary set of pictographs

Your article does not discuss written Chinese, which reads like a string of emoji - 随着结婚率暴跌, to grab random text. Not saying emoji will become written language per se. But could do so, with more extensive pictograph options. (small observation, not trying to pick a fight - nice article!)
