Opvallend: tijdens het partijcongres van de Duitse christendemocraten in Berlijn noemt de Beierse CSU-voorzitter Markus Söder kersvers premier Bart De Wever een 'rechts-populist'. De Wever toonde zich in het verleden - ook met Söder aan het roer - als een bewonderaar van de CSU.
