When talking about emissions due to animal husbandry, many people point to fossil fuels as the larger problem. If we account for emissions from full lifecycle assessment of animal husbandry, we can see that it contributes significantly to total anthropogenic GHG emissions, more than many industries.

Re: alignment. If AI is being trained on world literature, I think 99% of the time good triumphs over evil and even when it doesn't, it is usually expressed that the outcome isn't what was supposed to happen. I'm not saying we shouldn't worry about alignment but we should be more optimistic.
