They hit a homerun with the Restoration kit for me. I tend to like the ones that offers a mix of stuff that together can make up a room and this one those that. Small clutter, big deco pieces, shelves, functional objects plus a really cool 50s appliance set. #Thesims4

A big happy anniversary to one of my favorite games, Cities Skylines! 🥳 It's been a while since my last city, but I will share two of my favorite cities I've made a couple years back.

Eeek! Finally I can let you in on a little secret I've been hanging on to for several months... The Sims dev team invited me to build two lots for the Businesses & Hobbies Expansion Pack!!! I built the Koffieboon and the New Harbor Park. Can't wait to hear what you think of the lots!

Nice! Could you ask the team if they would be able to add all the new swatches to the damaged version of the counter from City Living? This really have been a good month of updates! 😊

Are you playing #TheSims4 this weekend? Back up your Saves! There's a non-zero chance of a game patch next week, and pre-EP game patches ALWAYS break mods. (All your CC tattoos might even break this time!) Consider setting up a mod-free save if you don't have one.

Mods WIP: 🚪 Rent a Room: Lock doors on community lots, and pay to be granted access for a limited time (I needed to lock some hotel rooms but still wanted gameplay) 🛍️ Functional Registers: Make registers spawn a vendor, and select what is sold (I need to create the product lists!) #TheSims4

But industrial zones and commercial zones first, and then specialized industry.

Kallixer @kallixer.bsky.social · 10/02/2025

Starting out I usually make a small industrial zone just to create some jobs, but I like building specialized industry early on as it helps me give a reason and a story for why the city might exist, as many are initially built around an industry. Also farms for aesthetic purposes.
