Traffic violence is the most common form of violence in Lakeview. We need 44th Ward leadership to treat this as the public safety crisis it is. When elected, I will meet this moment with the urgency it deserves and advocate for both short term and long term solutions to traffic violence.

I need everyone who thinks you can't bike in Chicago for six months to name the months. The average temperature in FEBRUARY this year was 36°, and by late March I was wearing a T-shirt! In 2025 there were only FOUR months with SOME days fully below freezing (www.weather.gov/lot/2025Cale...)

Lakeview (Chicago) now has ✨six✨ weekly bike buses to the K-8 schools, and had *at least* 100 kids bike to school today between the Burley and Nettelhorst Bike Buses (& prob 75-100 more adults with them). That’s pretty rad!

I’m building the future of safe streets right now with @nettelhorstbikebus.org. But we can and should build a city where kids can bike safely without organizing a bike bus. As Alderman, I will quickly build traffic calming measures and advocate for a bike grid so that everyone can get around safely.

I stood in solidarity with @jcua.bsky.social and Emanuel Congregation at a rally on Sunday to support the synagogue's plan to build more affordable homes on their property. Some opponents have used antisemitic rhetoric against the congregation. I stand firmly committed against antisemitism.

You can tell where the 44th Ward starts on Clark because you go from a beautiful protected bike lane to not even a painted bike lane or sharrow south of Irving Park Rd. We need a connected bike grid now!
