I simply tell them I'm counting them as a "no" until they explicitly say yes. But I've been consistent about this stance for a decade, so I think folks have gotten used to that from me

One of the biggest red flags someone can show me is to assume things about me without having ever talked to me. It sticks out to me when folks act friendly despite pointedly never asking me personal questions. Sticks out more if they act like I pissed in their cereal the first time we speak

Eventually, he apologized and said he got me mixed up with someone else. At the time, I just let it go. Me and the beef-haver even became friends for a while. But, it was a recurring pattern... I watched the guy go through so many toxic behaviors before I finally had to wash my hands of him

The potential beef-haver had messaged my new friend, told them I hated the beef-haver, that I was spreading lies about the beef-haver, and that my new friend shouldn't trust me. This was news to me... I didn't have any reason to talk about the guy, let alone lie about him. It stressed me out

Unless you're trying to get at what order the cons moved into John Portman buildings... MFF moved to HRO in 2010, FWA got to the Westin in 2013, and MCFC just moved this year. Don't think there's any others, but fuck if I know where the Chinese cons are, I can never figure stuff about them out.

To be fair, real estate developers on the Phoenix outskirts trying to sell people homes they know will never get water is its own brand of fucked. Municipalities largely are doing a lot of good and difficult work to handle the issue... but unscrupulous individuals can still undermine it

Either I get the anxiety of "If I'm ever difficult in any way and don't just go along with everything, people will stop wanting to be around me" or I get "I pushed myself past my limits and was grouchy and miserable and now people are mad at me for killing the vibe" so i'm getting anxious somehow

Based on hiking around Mt Diablo at night last year, yes there are tarantulas but honestly they don't really want to be around humans, they just want to fuck. So they won't be around spots that have people coming and going a lot as much Scorpions will be around though, they're just hanging out
