After about 15 years of drawing I FINALLY joined the artfight 😭 Thank you so much to @galaxyandyvt.bsky.social for introducing me, so I wasn't scared of trying it out 😂 Art fight attack on KaiDraws_09 - "Big stretch". Haven't drawn animals in YEARS but I like how it turned out!

Happy bikini day~! 👙 Enjoy some fanart of @fumpen.bsky.social in a bikini ^-^ (partly commissioned but I changed the pose a lot lol) I wanted to try something new style-wise, and while I’m not at all satisfied (I had procrastinated too long..) it was a fun challenge to try pastel owo #BikiniDay

While I do my studies I can get the colors right, pick good contrasts and values. But then I start rendering an actual piece and I just fall straight into my old habits?!... I shaded green with darker green, have non consistent lighting and it just looks flat and boring 😒 (except the shorts tho 👌)

Base colors down, I started rendering it and now I fear I might not be able to do it justice.. I set myself up with too high expectations 😖🥺 The sketch was too good, now I can’t finish it (maybe) 😭 I’ll take a break and come back to it 🙈

Sooo happy with this one already, it looks exactly how i wanted it to 😭🥹 Been inspired by getting back into playing The Isle and Prehistoric Kingdom again 😍 (Yes I absolutely love dinosaurs 🦖🦕) #AnimeArt #OC

A sketch in anime style of a happy girl, she’s wearing a hoodie and shorts with dinosaur inspired details, and has a lizard like tail.

I am speechless… I think I finally unlocked my understanding of rendering colors! The key? A freaking bell pepper 🫑… I was staring at my drawing in pure disbelief the whole time I was rendering it. I still cannot believe it. It’s the first time I’ve picked the right colors myself. And understanding.

Why you still stress about making mistakes in your art when it literally changes NOTHING??? (Had no time for an Earth-Chan fanart sadly 🤣)

Been away for while, the fire within me had died out. But I tried to light it again. I’ve been playing with actual paint for a while (gouache), studying colors. And for the first time in life I finally started to grasp some color theory (beyond the basics). But translating it to digital is hard lol

A picture of the screen on a drawing tablet. It shows a little window made for mixing colors digitally. To help get the colors you want. Sort of like a traditional paint palette

I miss drawing because I felt like it. The time where I didn’t worry about posting my art. Not fearing how it’d be picked apart to see if it could be AI, not being criticized for my workflow, not being distrusted because my style changed all the time because I loved exploring…I wish I could go back

I looked at some very old art and just.. Feel kinda sad.. I hated my art style SO much, I tried everything to change it for years. But look at what I could draw in freaking 2015 it's 10 YEARS AGO. I know I basically stopped drawing for a few years but damn.. I neglected something special here I feel

Is it finally time to actually learn some more color theory beyond the basic “red, blue, yellow, kontrast, complimentary etc.”? 😵‍💫 The vids from Draw Mix Paint seem very great for learning. Might dust off the paint brushes for this study period 🤔 #art

Looking back at my art journey, I learned digital painting for a few years and it was HARD but so rewarding! I often see speed paints of anime style, but painting, instead of sharp line art. But can’t find good learning recourses for this style 🤔 If you know any good videos on this lmk #animeart
