That image isn’t fully correct. In UK before they had rules against felons being able to get elected. So incumbents / candidates would invent charges against their opponents to block their election. So they change the rules so felons could also run. That is why US rules are as they are.

As a white woman I wish they would abandon Trump! I do a lot of canvassing in TX. The ones I meet that are abandoning GOP / MAGA tend to be men. Men that are minorities (mainly Hispanic but also others) are open to discussing voting blue in 2026. All white men so far: “I’m never voting again”.
