I don't know why everyone is so surprised at Biddy Blas' meteoric popularity. It's long been established the everyone loves a weird little Star Wars guy, especially if they talk funny. This is something we should all scrib doon (write down).

And where around The Overflow the reed beds sweep and sway To the breezes, and the rolling plains are wide, The man from Snowy River is a household word today, And the stockmen tell the story of his ride.

But the man from Snowy River let the pony have his head, And he swung his stockwhip round and gave a cheer, And he raced him down the mountain like a torrent down its bed, While the others stood and watched in very fear.

When they reached the mountain's summit, even Clancy took a pull, It well might make the boldest hold their breath, The wild hop scrub grew thickly, and the hidden ground was full Of wombat holes, and any slip was death.

Exactly. Optimus would probably be willing to kill Sentinel, in a fight for sure, and even
after he'd likely agree to exile Sentinel off-world or just outright execute in private.

The issue is public execution is not something that should be normalised which
Megatron does. It's a moment of power fantasy, rather than justice.

Jaxxon first appeared in the now non-Canon and rather weird 1977 era Star Wars comics, but has had a few canon appearances in more recent comics

Issue #8 of the 1977 Star Wars comic, titled "Eight against a World", with 8 characters on the cover, which include a human height green rabbit in a flight suit

A 2020 issue of IDW's Star Wars Adventures, on the cover Jaxxon is hiding from bounty hunter Dengar.

Apparently women are an activist infestation...

O

GalileoAce . 6h ago

This is beyond sad. I feel pity for you, to feel so impotent and emasculated from a couple of fictional female
characters. This desperate need for gender affirmation from the media you experience speaks to your gender
being pretty fragile. You might want employ some self reflection, and work out why you have felt this way
over something as inconsequential as a video game.

The irony of talking about needing gender affirmation ... LOL. Isn't that what ur group is all about? Also,
this may be a video game but it's also a lot of people's hobby. People typically are upset and begin to
notice when their hobby becomes infested with activists.

Everyone seeks in their own ways for gender affirmation, or indeed any kind of self identity
affirmation. It's how we build the person we are all becoming throughout each moment of life.

Video games are not "infested" by anything, they just accurately reflect life, as all stories do. They
are how we, collectively tell ourselves who we are, who we were, who we can be.

Humanity is such a diverse collective, that getting upset about the mere presence of women
denotes an inability to handle life at all, as women are everywhere. That some feel this way is both
sad and upsetting. The human collective has failed them as they fail themselves.

Yet another man feeling emasculation at the presence of a woman in their stories (in relation to GOW: E-Day)

bnhrsch . 5h ago . Edited 5h ago

My old comment got instantly removed. So I carefully reworded it. Hope it's better now:

So true! I especially love that there are so many cutscenes in which Dom, Marcus and the rest of the gang just
shut up and do nothing, while two new inspiring strong Characters take the lead and take care of business.

Its just so cool to watch the characters I grew up with just stand by and make room for new inspiring
characters that are made for a modern audience and sensibilities.

It's great that this happens so naturally and that they don't get totally emasculated, sidelined and belittled all
the time.

It just feels so inspiring and cool, not like a humiliation ritual at all, more like a fresh start to a new chapter in
the GEARs universe.

I can't wait what the Studio comes up with next! I am sure they already have the green light for the next game.

Especially since the new main protagonists Mags and Akilia are so interesting and cool. I can't wait to see if
Mags gets their asthma under control and finds their missing girlfriend. I can't wait to learn more about all of
that in the next installment of GEARS.

The future of the franchise is bright! This game is a true return to form and already a timeless classic. I am
having a blast.

¹ I'm well aware some background Caitians 'appeared' in the council hearing in Star Trek IV, but good luck getting a clear look at them ² or reappeared in the case of Caitians. A better look at Edosians, here taken from a Star Trek: Adventures 2nd Edition sourcebook⤵️

A page from the Star Trek Adventures TTRPG Second Edition "Species Sourcebook", showing the Edosian playable species page, with background information, the Attribute points for the species, the species traits, the unique species ability and some information on names. There is an image of an unknown Edosian security officer wearing a 2260s era Operations Division skirt uniform and holding a 2260s Type 2 Phaser. Possibly a female Edosian?

The second page for the Edosian entry, here showing the available species talents the player can choose, some suggested names for each gender, and some background info on how Starfleet uniforms and equipment are designed to accommodate as many species as possible, with additional accessibility equipment and options available for the species that aren't suited to the standard equipment or uniforms

The three major, or rather two major and one minor alien species that first and for a long while only appeared in Star Trek animation; Caitian¹, Edosian and Aurelian; have now all appeared² in live action. That's fucking wild to me.

The Eureka flag (pictured normally), is a very complicated symbol. Ostensibly it's a symbol of leftist worker unity, but it is often co-opted by far right wing groups as a kind of protest flag with the erroneous assumption that the flag is somehow akin to the US Confederate flag. Preposterous.
