I think the morally best thing the United States has ever done is encourage generations of children to read- this commitment to literacy and giving our children a good future is arguably the greatest thing any society can do. With all its flaws, the USA was still committed to doing this until now.

Braves fans are not gonna want to hear this but the #1 free agency target this season for the Dodgers should be Mauricio Dubon. Miguel Rojas is probably going to retire and Mookie Betts is 34 next season, not to mention their outfielders are terrible too and they don't have a consistent 2B.

My honest take on Brian Cashman- he’s a good GM. He’s created rosters that have made it all the way to a pennant run and most of his decisions about rosters are fundamentally sound. There are some issues with the farm system and Boone but those will get fixed soon and I think Boone is probably gone.

I think one of the most frustrating things about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict for me is the denunciation of people who point out Israel has apartheid as antisemitic. If it’s antisemitic to say things that are demonstrably true it’s also antisemitism to say anything about any topic.

Baseball Take: I think Reid Detmers is gonna break out next season. Kroenke will likely invest in new coaching staff, and Detmers is good predominantly with breaking pitches, which don’t deteriorate as much over time. If he modifies his pitch mix he could be a serious threat on the mound.
