27 days is too long. That's 27 days for the takes to get even dumber and for more early voting data to be misread

I am hardly one to offer campaign advice to Republicans, but come on... target your ads. Actually, don't do that. Just keep setting money on fire

Even then it’s going to be colored by wariness. Who’s to say in 2030/2032, the electorate doesnt decide to do something stupid again. On the flip side, who’s to say that the Canadian electorate doesnt fall to populist right either. Anglosphere not doing so well on that front rn Paradigm shift

Continental politics is something the US really hasn’t had to worry about for a while and when it has, it’s been on other continents. Not to say US-MEX has a great track record. It doesn’t but US-CAN has been an afterthought for the better part of a century

I really like how Yom Kippur acts as a midyear check-in with yourself. The themes and liturgy as you to be introspective, to assess where you are as a person and where you can be better. But it's also a recalibration of life in general that's way separate and meaningful for me than New Years ever is

So you’re going to create - a monumental structure - in the middle of a small traffic circle - on what is essentially dredged Potomac River soil - but it’s also a military complex - possibly interfering with DCA’s landing path (Trumps FAA says lol it’s fine)

More Americans rate 31 of 40 aspects of life negatively than rate them positively Worst: cost of living (-66), politics (-53), government accountability (-50), and national unity (-49) Best: military strength (+36) and religious freedom (+23) yougov.com/en-us/articl...
A chart of YouGov polling data with the headline: "Americans' views of the state of the country remain mostly negative."

The chart's sub-headline is: "How would you describe the current state of the following in the United States? (% of U.S. adult citizens who say very or somewhat good - % who say very or somewhat bad)."

The chart has the note: "Note: Responses of "neither good nor bad" and "not sure" are not shown."

even in a wave, I'd be cautious. a bruising, divisive primary is exactly the opening a non-offensive candidate like him wishes on his opponent. This is going to rapidly become the most 'annoying' Senate election too

Stack this with the other results from last night in other states and the "Future of the Party" narrative really falls apart. We're decentralized, so each district/state does its thing and challengers/establishment vary in strength. Also the conditions of each race matters.
