NOAA has been told to alter maps etc to say Gulf of America. Its Scientific Integrity Policy page is currently down, to be scrubbed of "diversity" mentions and such. Climate science is under attack. All international collaboration—interpreted broadly—must be run by political appointees. My latest:

Fascinating new paper out in @nature.com on the importance of Small Scale Fisheries. Lots of great information on catch, nutrition, livelihoods, etc. The #sharkscience factoid I found was that only 0.2% of the SSF catch is sharks, rays or chimaerans. www.nature.com/articles/s41...

In natural systems, production per capita declines as population size increases, until you hit zero at carrying capacity. At some intermediate level production is maximized (Maximum Sustainable Yield in fisheries), allowing constant amounts to be withdrawn each year
