According to data from EIA, US consumes 3.77 mio barrels of distillate fuels per day, so about 500,000 tonnes of diesel per day. The deal supports US consumption for • Immediate (300,000 tonnes): 14 hours • November (500,000 tonnes): 24 hours • Follow-up delivery (1,000,000 tonnes): 2 days :-)
