Saw R2 for the first time and take it for a spin yesterday while my R1 was in for service. Rivian knocked this out of the park in packaging and design, and I was amazed how incredibly well it drove on a twisty road! Cheers to the whole team at @rivianofficial.bsky.social

Well all know it's really elevation-based.

If only R2 was six months ahead to capitalie on this

It's time to go back to removable batteries in laptops and phones. We can easily spare the few extra millimeters and grams. Add a USB-C port to easily charge them when removed and double as a power bank. Quick swap when needed. And big laptops could be check-in luggage.

It has been amazing to finally watch a trip to the moon and back for real, and not just in the movies for the first time in my life. And it all went perfectly. Congratulations to NASA and the Atemis crew and all who made this happen!

One hopes images like this, when paired with the knowledge that everything we burn ends up in that tiny slice of gasses, would help contextualize why we need to move away from energy sources we set on fire. One hopes. Climate communicators should make some hay of this.

I had the pleasure of using @ionnaofficial.bsky.social for the first time last weekend and they really set the gold standard for what charging locations should be. Hope to see more in the Northeast soon!

I get very upset when I get a rental car that doesn't tell me which side the fuel door is on, huge props to small ideas that make life better! PS-This should apply to EVs as well.

The link just goes to your reader survey page. You subscription page only offers $100/yr which is way too much for most

We lost one of the true icons in the computing industry (pun intended). Bill made some of the most basic UI concepts functional and snappy. And HyperCard was by far the best way to create things on the computer, possibly my favorite app of childhood.

Defeats the purpose if they are going to two weeks and ship the wrong items. They really should let Amazon handle the fulfillment.

The same applies to social media.

Better yet, release repair manauals, allow for diagnistics, and make common parts available for others, so normal service garages can take the load off Rivian. Still can't even replace glass elsewhere

The most factual piece of reporting on the internet. My Brothers have been working the same as the day I plugged them in for nearly a decade...and are still on their original toners.

Go to the Lowes outlet in Medford, they always have several for 30-50% off, and cheap added warranty. I've bought my last several appliances from there

www.reddit.com/r/Rivian/ has been a firehose of posts of people switching or considering in just the last few days. I wonder why...

I will be doing the same soon. Check out www.impulselabs.com and copperhome.com which include a battery so you can just use a normal outlet.

Rivian has really stepped up and RAN made a huge difference in the Northeast this year! Now if only they would join Bluesky so I could tag them.

I was sad that my Discover had no pizza, but now thanks to you, it's starting to get pizzafied. I set up a #pizza gallery column in deck.blue but it is much worse.

After many months of watching various Twitter alternatives, I’m thrilled to see Bluesky finally get the one thing it was missing: people using it. The others all had more fundamental downsides.
