I actually thought this was a literal pencil!

juuuune.bsky.social @juuuune.bsky.social · 24/04/2025

What I do find the most challenging is figuring out the best way to annotate designs and making it more understandable for eng. I feel like there's a lot more potential with that, but even then, we're moving towards v0 so fast that it might not even be necessary.

So true!! Out of all of these actions, I find "replacing content" the most useful cus sometimes stakeholders could get stuck on the tiny details. But even that is like...barely 1% of the work lol.

So I went and got a Japanese fried chicken teishoku set. Really amazing. I don’t hate my designs anymore!

I was super frustrated with my designs today but turns out I was just hungry…

I need to do this! I have multiple kitchen drawer Figma pages and it’s becoming hard to track…

I am so into progressive blurs it’s ridiculous :/

I’m generally not very precious about past iterations. Just interesting to see how something evolves over time.

Just discovered Tape Notes, an interview podcast with so many musicians that I'm a fan of! Really enjoy listening to how they talk about their process of composing, refining sounds, and just all the thoughts that go into making a piece. Incredible stuff! open.spotify.com/episode/1kHF...

Is anyone watching Lazarus? I'm a huge fan of Bonobo, Floating Points, and Kamasi Washington so it's like an incredible treat to me music-wise!

What an insane morning! I got laid off, but also for the first time had breakfast without anxiety, and will now go to the gym. I can feel an adventure coming up and it’s scary, but I’ll be okay!

Commission i did over the weekend! I can still see so many mistakes 🤦🏻‍♀️ but honestly happy with it otherwise!

YES!!! apparently it was a debut episode for the director (who's been working on the show as a cinematographer)! I really loveee the different flashbacks and scenes!

I left my beautiful speakers in SF and would love to sit right in front of them and let the music wash over me!

I just love electronic music so much! It's been a real journey to even find this type of music. I grew up in Vietnam and didn't even have the language to even search for this stuff. I don't even know if it makes sense to feel this much joy from discovering music lol!

We had spent SO MUCH MONEY on printing this "gate." no regrets!!!!

010

juuuune.bsky.social @juuuune.bsky.social · 02/02/2025

omg what the heck! I just found some old stuff from a while ago! I was part of an exhibition, and had designed some of the the decoration leading into the show itself! this "gate" was a datamosh of all of our works using Processing!

I really like finding a thread from very different experiences. Dance taught me to be quick on my feet, the gym obviously gave me the strength to even punch/kick, and running taught me how to breathe properly. My body really figures out how to respond to these challenges in ways that surprise me!

juuuune.bsky.social @juuuune.bsky.social · 31/01/2025

no art-making lately. but i picked up kickboxing! i really bounce between abstract contemporary-ish dance, and punch punch punch!

I do use AI when crafting case studies but not for writing the actual sentences. I use it to read through and question my own writing, point out gaps, and go back to fill in the gaps myself!

000

juuuune.bsky.social @juuuune.bsky.social · 26/01/2025

Totally agree! I'm really skeptical of AI copilots that pop up in any kind of text editor (Notion, Google Docs). I mainly write in the Substack editor, and I thought the other day that it has to be intentional that they chose not to have any AI tools...yet.

it makes me look back to my 2025 resolution that i made a couple weeks ago. i need to add another goal there which is to always be checking in on my emotions! today was not positive, but i've been monitoring my own emotions since then and just feels so glad that it's a skill i've acquired!

I really love the manga Blue Period! Wanted to channel some of the creative fears that I often feel into a practice. I love love love how this manga depicts a lot of feelings I had going through art school!
