I'm such a dork. 😜 I wanted to teach myself how to do more with images in Tableau - something I don't get to play around with a lot at work. Specifically, map layers and image swaps based on parameter changes. Here's the result. Not a lot of data (just IMDb ratings) but I like how it turned out!

Wish I could be there at #TC25 ... that was the plan up until the Trumpcession and cuts to healthcare and academic programs. But, making the main keynote was a pretty cool consolation prize? Thanks, #datafam, for keeping me in mind. Hope to see you in San Diego for Tableau Conference 2026!

It's time for #TheVizzies! These are the #Tableau community awards, decided by the #datafam. Visionaries aren't eligible, so this is a great opportunity to recognize people who aren't "big names" in the dataviz community. Submit your nominations here: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F...

Opinion | James Carville: It’s Time for a Daring Political Maneuver, Democrats

There’s nothing Democrats can legitimately do to stop Trump, so we need a tactical pause in our fight to plan for the future.

Diversity is a fact: All kinds of people exist. Equity is a goal: All kinds of people deserve a chance at success. Inclusion is how we get to equity. By including them, they can achieve success. It's that simple.

I honestly believe our most powerful position in a toxic time that feeds on cynicism, apathy,& despair is to genuinely care and act for a better world. Cynicism is our enemy. We should check it, incl. on the left. It’s not intellectually superior. It’s the virus they’re trying to infect us with. NO

TJ was always one of my all-time favorite presidents. "I have sworn upon the altar of God eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man." “When injustice becomes law, resistance becomes duty.” Now is that time. #RESIST

True. But it's the best I've found for overall political ideology. Probably a little slow to react right now, given how quickly things are changing. If I can find a better way to help direct my money to the right causes, I'll start posting that for everyone.

It takes some serious effort to be lower than Harrison.

It wasn’t a mistake at all. Now, he has a violent, fanatical following that’s willing to carry out “unofficial acts” for their dear leader at the slightest suggestion. The pardon frees them, puts them in his debt, and restores their right to purchase and own guns. He knows what he’s doing here.

I honestly don’t get the whole Gulf of America thing. Too similar to George W. Bush’s attempt to rename “freedom fries.” If I were the president of Mexico, I’d play along. Just say “I’ve officially renamed the Gulf of America back to the Gulf of Mexico.” Now what? 🤣
