It's true for good and for bad things. When gravity keeps your feet firmly on the ground, it's a good thing. When you fall out of an airplane without parachute not so much. Natural laws are neither good nor bad. They just are.

Actually it's just physics. Maybe I shouldn't say "just". Conservation of matter and energy. In sum total matter and energy are neither created nor destroyed. Sounds a bit like a Hippie statement, but all things indeed are connected. What goes around, comes around. It's hard science! :-)
