It’s tough for DC sports right now the Mystics and (I fear the Spirit) are so fun and full of great players, but are missing that final “X factor” needed for Champs

I feel so silly I was wearing all of my Spirit and Mystics gear all weekend. The hope I had

000

Justin Norman, PhD @justintime.ai · 28/09/2026

Yeah I mean this the other side of being so young

010

Justin Norman, PhD @justintime.ai · 27/09/2026

Something tells me we’ll see it this year

000

Justin Norman, PhD @justintime.ai · 27/09/2026

I’m not even an Aces fan and I can’t stop watching! A’ja is ballin angry

000

Justin Norman, PhD @justintime.ai · 27/09/2026

This is the thing, the story *of the league* IMO is how A’ja always does this.

010

Justin Norman, PhD @justintime.ai · 27/09/2026

Really great time to start supporting the Mystics

100

Justin Norman, PhD @justintime.ai · 27/09/2026

Postgame comments will be interesting.

Justin Norman, PhD @justintime.ai · 27/09/2026

The players are the same or better as times past. I don’t want this to be true but they consistently don’t seem ready to play

000

Justin Norman, PhD @justintime.ai · 21/09/2026

I’m sorry you missed that Mystics game it was fun to watch

000

Justin Norman, PhD @justintime.ai · 21/09/2026

I don’t think the commentators are calling a nuetral game at all

030

Justin Norman, PhD @justintime.ai · 20/09/2026

That’s such a bummer! The Spirit just can’t catch a break

030

Justin Norman, PhD @justintime.ai · 13/09/2026

It was a great emotional cleanse after the Spirit game!

010

Justin Norman, PhD @justintime.ai · 13/09/2026

A generational ball-knower and motivator. What’re you gonna do—talk back to *her*?

000

Justin Norman, PhD @justintime.ai · 13/09/2026

We all get to be hot about getting bounced 3-0 at Audi. Ya’ll are moving with grace imo.

000

Justin Norman, PhD @justintime.ai · 13/09/2026

💯 and also, it unfortunately needs to be acknowledged that the team has not been ready to play chronically. Good teams play well in all phases.

000

Justin Norman, PhD @justintime.ai · 13/09/2026

I love the Spirit with all my heart but they aren’t playing like champions and haven’t been for a while

010

Justin Norman, PhD @justintime.ai · 13/09/2026

Is there precedent for just swapping a ref who is just obviously not up to task?

010

Justin Norman, PhD @justintime.ai · 13/09/2026

This ref crew is borderline incompetent, it’s making the match hard to enjoy

021

Justin Norman, PhD @justintime.ai · 17/08/2026

Yeah and I mean this is effectively half strength with the WAFCON players out. We’ll know more next month about where they’ll shake out

000

Justin Norman, PhD @justintime.ai · 17/08/2026

Thing is part of being a championship team is not getting caught up in stuff like this. DC needs to step up their game RN

000

Justin Norman, PhD @justintime.ai · 17/08/2026

Aaagh I’m so annoyed that Sentnor finally managed to be on target against the Spirit

000

Justin Norman, PhD @justintime.ai · 17/08/2026

I just don’t understand—this is well tread ground in sports! Flash to the booth for a shot during stoppage then back to the game with the voiceover.

010

Justin Norman, PhD @justintime.ai · 17/08/2026

I feel like world class soccer player, olympic gold medalist, cultural icon are all choices here

010

Justin Norman, PhD @justintime.ai · 17/08/2026

Yeah you gotta have better control over your body

000

Justin Norman, PhD @justintime.ai · 09/08/2026

You can never leave your house during a match again Aaron. Sorry that’s the rules.

020

Justin Norman, PhD @justintime.ai · 06/08/2026

I impulse bought a Citron jersey last week because I wanted to be ready for a deep run *next* season and now I’m clicking refresh on that tracking number like a madman

110

Justin Norman, PhD @justintime.ai · 06/08/2026

Scary thing is that they have a lottery pick next year lol

110

Justin Norman, PhD @justintime.ai · 02/08/2026

This is embarrassing for the NWSL. If we want to add new eyes to the game you can’t have sequences like this

000

Justin Norman, PhD @justintime.ai · 02/08/2026

The commentators hate the spirit why???

010

Justin Norman, PhD @justintime.ai · 02/08/2026

It’s a huge bummer that we’re not getting the calls but the spirit need to fight back

100

Justin Norman, PhD @justintime.ai · 30/07/2026

I don’t think we’ve even seen her at her max level yet this season. All that experience + Ball knowledge + physical piece all cookin

110

Justin Norman, PhD @justintime.ai · 29/07/2026

Ayyy I’m a Mystics fan but I might need to get an Olivia Miles jersey

040

Justin Norman, PhD @justintime.ai · 27/07/2026

Not to mention she totally changed the Denver defensive scheme drawing *3* yellows in a game.

120

Justin Norman, PhD @justintime.ai · 27/07/2026

Is there a Cantore regular lol

110

Justin Norman, PhD @justintime.ai · 23/07/2026

Yeah and look I love Hal, and hope against all odds she stays, but Leicy is showing up as a truly elite player who enables everyone around her. Strategically it seems right to invest there.

110

Justin Norman, PhD @justintime.ai · 19/07/2026

This is crazy we want a flop call to decide the World Cup final????

040

Justin Norman, PhD @justintime.ai · 16/07/2026

It really makes it hard to enjoy this league. Well, I guess if you’re not a Gotham fan.

010

Justin Norman, PhD @justintime.ai · 16/07/2026

I have to assume the child is still dealing with that knock because she was born for this kind of moment

010

Justin Norman, PhD @justintime.ai · 16/07/2026

Yo…said the same thing to my TV!
