For the past month or so, I've been slowly working through this book by @sebastianraschka.com which theoretically and practically builds a GPT model from scratch. Highly recommended! Ironically, I'm writing much more code by hand as a result

Hey everyone, I'm happy to announce that the paper I wrote with Alex Hughes and Mike Rivera which explores the lack of truly open, grounded, expert-level hallucination benchmarks for language models has been accepted to ICICT 2026 in Honolulu, HI! arxiv.org/pdf/2505.17345

Hi everyone! Welcome back. I'm so excited to share that the video deepfake detection paper that I co-wrote with Hany Farid has been accepted to the WACV SAFE 2026 workshop!

Started off the break with this awesome TIE Bomber set. I have a lighting kit that I’ll install at some point

There’s definitely a lot more in there but the main thing is
Mathematical notation and text statement describing the theoretical impossibility of completely eliminating hallucination in LLMs:

For an LLM h trained iteratively on a dataset T, there exists a computable function f such that for all training states h [i], the model cannot eliminate hallucinations completely:

I don't even need to use LLMs to make nonsensical typos leading to mocking errors
python console message displaying a runtime error "Expected all tensors to be on the same device, but found at least two devices cuda:0 and cpu!" because OP accidentally (but definitely) told it to do that.

As a person who has spent every day for the last 18 months deep in the code/theory/app tech of both generative vision & language models, I’m *always* amazed at how my projects end up circling back around to stuff in this book.
