1/ The stories we tell about the future are collapsing. Doom says we’re powerless. Techno-optimism says progress is inevitable. Both are illusions—excuses to do nothing.

It's been a hot minute since I've posted my art anywhere, but for the new year I wanted to do a compilation of me developing my artwork style spanning back to 2020. A lot of these were gifts for others, but each one helped me grow as a designer and dial in what my personal style was #graphicdesign
A collage of stylized illustrated works:

A safety poster that says "Use your head and wear your helmet today!" The poster features a man in profile wearing a white safety helmet with a strap that goes under the chin.

An Attack on Titan fanart print in the style of a recruitment poster that says "Fly high on the wings of freedom, join the Survey Corps. Report to your local recruiting station today!" The poster has several figures on it, all using ODM gear to fly through the air.

A Disney Zombies fanart print that says "They laugh, we'll say we're gonna be someday." The poster features a green skinned zombie young man and a blonde cheerleader young woman staring at each other.

A WPA-style art print of a helmeted paladin knight pointing at the viewer with the text "Stay strong, avoid the path of the oathbreaker! Have you honored your sacred paladin oath today?" This is a Dungeons & Dragons reference.

A fanart print of a Max Fleischer style Superman with the text "truth, justice, a better tomorrow" and "faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound."

A tribute poster to Calvin & Hobbes featuring the quote "To invent your own life's meaning is not easy, but it's still allowed, and I think you'll be happier for the trouble. - Bill Watterson." The visual illustration is of a figure exiting and walking away from a long line of figures that disappear into the distance. The exiting figure is pulling a toboggan with an orange stuffed tiger on it.

And a poster tribute to Dimension 20: A Crown of Candy featuring the quote "In sweetness, there is strength." The visual illustration is of a pink-skinned hand holding a large golden sword with peanut half on the pommel.A second collage of stylized illustrated works:

A movie poster with the title "Carson & Bella Find a Sewer Apple." The poster features an apple with angry, intimidating eyes peeking out of a manhole on a street that goes back into a cityscape.

A WPA-style art print with the text "Have you heard about ki points? They pack a WALLOP!" The poster features a large fist and several small monk figures in different poses with the following labels: Patient defense, deflect missiles, flurry of blows, step of the wind, diamond soul, empty body, stunning strike. This is a Dungeons & Dragons reference.

An stylized illustrated logo of a tough-looking rhino in a diamond shape.

A WPA-style art print with the text "Stay alert, don't get hurt! Beware of rogues using sneak attack!" The poster features a stylized figure with shifty eyes raising a knife in a threatening way. The figure is emerging from an alleyway. This poster is another Dungeons & Dragons reference.

A WPA-style art print of a mysterious, hooded figure sitting behind a small, folded screen. There is text above the figure that says "Remember to thank your dungeon master for letting you live...for now!" This poster is another Dungeons & Dragons reference.

An art print of the interrobang symbol, a combination of a question mark and an exclamation point, done in a retro, pop art style. The symbol seems to be emerging from an exploding comic book panel, and everything is shaded using primary colors and halftone dots.

And a WPA-style art print featuring a hand holding a ball of fire and the text "Fireball can and will damage anything in a twenty-foot radius...cast with caution!" This poster is another Dungeons & Dragons reference.
