Currently reflecting on how the Fortnitification of pop culture has completely killed any interest I have in anything involving a crossover. I used to be one of those guys who was screaming for Hatsune Miku in All-Stars Racing and now I actively avoid anything squishing one IP into another

It feels really good to noodle around on a keyboard and come out of it with a draft for a character's theme. It's the musical equivalent to catching a fish out on the lake

They're putting a new Angela Anaconda short in front of the Madoka film which is why the US release is being delayed.

I wish it were that easy but if your game has any red flags (i.e. it's Japanese or a visual novel) they will absolutely hold CTRL through the whole thing until they find an objectionable CG, at which point they'll claim you're operating in bad faith and refuse the game

Last year, I suggested to a group of friends that we go to eat at a cool crepe place nearby. We arrived; just the day prior, the staff had garishly redecorated the entire place to be Harry Potter themed. It was barely September. They hid the normal menu. You had to order from the Wizard menu

You have to eat the colors individually. You can have as many of any single color at once as you like, but to indiscriminately eat multiple different colors at once is wicked and hedonistic

To me, a MV-style Castlevania is a game that gives me hundreds of tuoys and a bunch of stats that I can wear different hats and rings to adjust. If you consider that fat to be trimmed in favor of Dark Soulsifying the formula then you've lost me

This thread brought to you by the Castlevania Symphony, which only has dates in Tokyo, LA and London They don't even care about all of mainland Europe!!

A listing of dates for the Castlevania Symphony. Tokyo, London, and Los Angeles

070

Florence @justflorence.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

America might be the cultural center of the world but you still get shit like a tour only playing a single date in either LA or NYC, which is way less practical to swing if you're on the opposite end

170

Florence @justflorence.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

One cool thing about living in the UK is that by virtue of you being one train ride away from London, no matter where you are, you're in a better position than 95% of the world to go to concerts Every world tour throws in a London date!

070

Florence @justflorence.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

In my 30 minute playthrough, I only used one sword, one projectile, and one ability (from a boss, which I only had 5 minutes to play with before the demo ended). Even Circle of the Moon, the janky Konami-produced MV with no involvement from Igarashi, had more going on in its first hour than this.

Feeling pretty underwhelmed by the Belmont's Curse demo. The music is markedly worse than any other game in the series, and the demo's gameplay paints an unflattering portrait of what the full game will be like.
