I mainly post on a different account now since this was more tied to my twitch and accounts where I sold stuff. If anyone just wants to know what I’m up to and some recent art, go to @itsjustdandi.bsky.social

Now that I'm on my desktop again, I am realizing how little I transferred over from my iPad before it died and really fucking sad about it

I'll be back to streaming next week with some games! I was sick and recovering for awhile but all good now!

A little throwback to some things I made that I really liked while I’m on an art hiatus

My first attempt at a bucket hat. It was a fun experiment and a lot I plan to change for when I write the pattern out

I'm at a level of sick where I feel like I'm in car that's running sitting in the driveway. That low rumbling feeling. and when I go to sit down, it keeps feeling like someone has grabbed the chair out from under me so I am just grabbing the arms of the chair like whoooaaa easy

Sick with something shitty. Does not feel like Covid but who knows. Still had to shovel with more snow on the way. Truly horrible timing

Most folks who have heard me talk know that I wrote BROOMS (witchy, queer 1930's illegal broom racing) partly because I was tired of euro-centric white magical academia stories But I also had some grievances with Southern 'forgive those who hurt you' narratives 🧵

The cover of the graphic novel BROOMS, by Jasmine Walls (writer) and Teo DuVall (artist) with Bex Glendining (colors) and Ariana Maher (lettering)

In movie poster style, the entire cast, (mostly young women and all of them Black, Indigenous or mixed) two of which are riding brooms, are set against a night sky.

This morning's quick reminder: generative AI is a natural resource-guzzling plagiarism machine that exploits creatives to enrich tech bros. Do not use it to create art or writing. Do not conduct "fun" experiments with it to show us how awful it is. There is no ethical use for AI. Let it die.

to the #vrchat users, in terms of model availability/options what would you say is missing in the market? I'm looking to make some models for vtubing and vrchat and if there's anything that isn't as commonly seen in models that ppl want more of, I'd love to see if i can make some things like that!

My whole job was twitter. It was where my agent found me, it was where I got my publishing gigs at DC and Macmillan. I got to draw covers for books because of twitter. I managed to escape homelessness because of twitter. And now it's just gone. It's the hub of incels and white supremacists.

I agree with Yuni! Coworking streams with less interaction are really nice for some people. I personally used your streams to cowork whenever you were working on a model. The Bob Ross streams were huge and so many people were just coworking in chat or using it to relax
