Poor baby has a lot to learn. It is obvious she was never potty trained. She is terrified of me leaving her outside which also distracts from the potty training. She also doesn't understand how to play with toys or chew a bone.

She is a solid 46.6 pounds. Based on a mini intro I think the dogs will get along fine (still quarantining and using my bonus check to get her spayed, chipped and vaxxed). The cats are not happy campers.

We handled the vet! Confirmed no microchip. And asked the vet about how our county does good faith adoptions and we don't, really. The county law is apparently post the chip-less animal on sites and it's yours off no one claims.

I did check-in at a dungeon-hosted event tonight, and one of the dudes who walked in was someone that matched with me recently and was all about hanging out asap. He didn't even recognize me. 🥱Not that I had any interest, but. Even a twinkle of acknowledgement would've been nice.

This does confirm that I'd love to have another dog. However, I think that's more of an, "after I move states within the next 5 years" goal than a goal for the next year or two. Unless the Dog Distribution System sees fit otherwise, I guess.

Stray dog has disappeared. Of course after I set up my spare room for her and confirmed with the vet we didn't need an appointment to stop by tomorrow. I'll still keep an eye out for her just in case. Maybe she just needed somewhere to stop that would feed and water and love on her.

Stray dog appeared on my porch this morning and she has no microchip (I already scanned her). I guess I'll call the vet in a bit to see if they can fit us in tomorrow. Poor girl is in rough shape. I really don't need another animal, but I can't let her stay outside. Stupid snowflake heart.
