For context: Data centers had an influence on the Dem primary. ME legislature passed a moratorium on data centers. Gov Mills (the opponent Susan preferred) vetoed it to court Susie’s Dem supporters. Mills tanked in the polls, suspended her campaign & Dems have a chance to finally beat Collins.

Medicare & Medicaid are federal programs administered by the states, must comply with federal rules. They still don’t cover abortions as far as I know. My ACA plan didn’t cover my hormone replacement therapy & Medicare Advantage changes a copay.

Ranked Choice Voting systems allow voting for your fav long shot as your first choice and then voting for an acceptable alternative as you fallback position. It’s expensive but the Corporate Dems unexpectedly lost power when we used it this year for the first time in our primaries.

RCV works. Rs are not able to get the majority in most races, don’t like RCV because it completely destroys their plurality strategy by forcing a 50%+1 win. We can send a message with our long shot first choice and take a fallback position for the less than perfect, but acceptable second choice.
