tl:dr I wanna start a random podcast again where I just blab about stuff which will be non-mono thematic with no set schedule. First one will be about full-time streaming and RetroIslandGaming's and my experiences. Feel free to ask questions here: forms.gle/1ip3kRL5JTuu...

I walked 20 minutes to a grocery store, didn't die, didn't get lost, communicated in Italian without any kind of mobile device to help, bought chicken and beer for lunch and walked back another 20 minutes without getting lost or dying to Italian traffic. Progress!

I gave this random cat outside my bank card to rub her face on. Cats are such beautiful and majestic creatures.

Nearing 4000 watch hours/monetization, I should pick popular and non-niche things to make videos about, which is why I made the smart decision to create an incredibly niche video about Bill, a weird Tamagotchi evolution. youtu.be/9vOKhBAFy74?... Appreciate all likes/shares, etc!

Finished Mega Man Legends! Very fun game and really had a lot of fun with it. Thanks for watching variety as I'm hardwareless in Italy for a little longer. Starting either Breath of Fire III or Pokémon Emerald tomorrow.

The RogerRabbit channel keeps on giving. Also Twitch must be sick of me by now.

"Why did you want to get 2 accounts partnered?" Obviously this.

Had a nice break from everything. I'll stream again hopefully this Monday. :)

I was able to request the name "RogerRabbit", so I feel that's only fitting as it was an inactive account from 2007. I have literally become one with the rabbit. I'll still stream over there, so come check it out. :) www.twitch.tv/RogerRabbit

Hey everyone. :) youtu.be/ONv9Ko-gPuo This will be my last video for a while (traveling abroad today) so I appreciate people watching to the end, shares, likes and comments, etc, as I'm "close" to YouTube Partner over there, and won't be able to upload as many videos abroad.

Thanks for 10 years on Twitch! I'll just write that now, as I'll be traveling abroad again on August 26th and might not have internet when September 1st rolls around (yet). :) Appreciate everyone hanging around. It's been a fun journey these last 3 years in particular.

Probably got a PB today in SMB2 (8:51.033 when I frame counted it.) Whatever I have on OBS likely isn't that low of a 8:51 - but it's still a 8:51. Thanks for watching. :)

August 9th marks 1000 days since I went full-time. I've tried hard to make my Twitch channel unique in what it can offer (and still trying to upload original stuff on YouTube). Content creation has been fun to explore. Thanks everyone for hanging around! Streaming 100(1) Spikes on Monday. :)

Thanks! Project ROGER was a success. 2 months in the bag, can apply for Twitch Partner on August 19th. Thanks to everyone who hung out for the insanity on that channel. Very curious to see what Twitch says.

Finished the next script for the next YouTube video. ~6600 words / 33000 characters which is about 40 minutes. It's amazing how much nicer writing is when you're not melting in a heat wave while doing it.

The Roger Rabbit channel has been very fun and chaotic and I've laughed so hard there, so thanks everyone for hanging out. It's at 8/12 streams, 4 left this week to go! I find it eternally funny a Twitch employee with evaluate all the cursed stuff at some point after I apply. :D

I was watching someone newer yesterday and he said: "Oh, junkyard probably already left" less than 40 seconds after asking me a question. Lowkey, one of the worst parts of Twitch now. What's the point of watching a stream for 30s and leaving after or having 500+ streams up?

130

junkyard_dave @junkyarddave.bsky.social · 18/07/2026

Ended up getting a 8:59 in SMB2U Any% and finished 6/6 streams for Roger Rabbit at 128 average CCV. I'll start streaming on August 1st / 2nd and the following week for month 2 to apply. www.twitch.tv/rogerrabbit4... Thanks for watching!

I think today is a quiet reminder that you can beat trauma and depression, as 7 years ago today, I underwent massive unexpected trauma and depression. Am I totally better almost a decade later? No! But, I've learned to focus on the small steps forward and have improved.

Finally got a decent PB (10:16 -> 9:17) not getting a 50 cycle wart. Still have about 18s to save based on what I learned so far, so probably need to learn more stuff to tighten it up. Thanks for watching!
