I am dreading needing to actually lock in for a few days to finalize adapting a $10 adventure book into an extremely simple TTRPG to DM for friends casually after taking way too long to make it but outside of needing to do that I'm excited for whatever horrendously janky thing the result is.

House is getting fumigated which means I can finally get back to sewing and drawing/writing once I put everything back where it used to be. I've had to wait so long to get back to doing this and I'm so so excited

Found out an essay and review YouTuber I enjoy a lot uses AI for research and some other things and it's genuinely maddening that someone could actively be that terminally online and still completely miss half the things that make AI bad

I am a diehard user of the Washington Post's crosswords, mostly because their UI is really good for me. The New York Times putting it behind a subscription is heinous even outside of the company being abhorrent.

If it continues to get worse I'm going to make my silly little personal regiment into an actual regiment for beginners who want training in various departments, and to stage actual combat and reclamation ops so that we aren't just doing the world's most unbalanced back and forth for a month.

I mainly do partisan work but tried to spec into doing front-line work, but there's nothing to be done but defend. Any push lasts but 2 hours at most. No wonder we've lost the war so many times in a row

The game Foxhole is amazing but lowkey the game is boned right now. The Wardens have like no regiments that do anything particularly large, and it feels like new players with mammons and RPGs are the only ones who can push a front, and that's only if they know how to destroy structures.

I'm playing Civ 7 with a group of 6 (including me) and literally no one is enjoying it more than as a novelty, this is so bad. Every creative decision made for it is baffling (though not all of them are objectively bad). It feels like it's trying to be an *experience* instead of a game.

God knows why I chose to practice for making Mesmer by doing Margaret first. Genuinely Mesmer is so much more simple. Am I stupid?

Good things happening on this front and I'm very happy with it. I'm so glad I got back into sewing

Margaret from the game Bad Bitch Blasters in the form of felt that has been sewn together. She is incomplete as she is missing both a cigarette and a mouth. In the background next to her is posterboard hair and a posterboard circle/eyes to be used in creating Mesmer, a character from the game Mesmalie

Speaking of here's work I've put into making Margaret from Bad Bitch Blasters for a friend

Parchment paper that has been used to trace the image of a character shown on a laptop screen in another image

Several pieces of posterboard cut out into shapes and rearranged to look like the end result of the felt being put together, used to cut felt into shapes easily.

A felt face with a left eye and a bandage over the right eye, no other features.

Margaret from Bad Bitch Blasters. This is the image the parchment paper was used to trace. She is smoking a cigarette.

Like I'd rather use this as a medium to showcase my YouTube channel and my creative content but I don't upload even slightly enough to justify that so arguing with people online is my go-to I guess

Like every other thread has limited replies now. One of the only joys of twitter was some guy saying "wow I can't believe ___ did ___, really goes to show how bad/good they are!" and then being able to objectively show that the opposite happened and they're wrong. Can't have anything nowadays.

Did you know? After 20 years and an active competitive scene, a new Super Smash Bros. Melee technique called "Hyper Ground Cancelling Aerial Lift" was found. To use it, hit the X or Y button. It is currently under debate whether this technique is tournament legal or not.

Surprisingly, the first example of voiced dialogue in a game was "Ms. Pac-Man" for the Atari 2600. Due to the game's simplicity, the devs were able to fit in HIGH QUALITY voice samples! Put on your headset and immerse yourself in one of gaming's finest achievements:

How do people do it? I can't imagine living life thinking that everything has to be gradual change and that we can't have better things, that only our children's children will be allowed to experience happiness and a just world.

"Guys just do what we've done the past 4 times!!!!" if you don't think you can get good people to lead the Democratic Party before any election then what's the point of even trying? Giving up hope that things can change and scrambling to put things back into status quo first just lets this continue.

I liked having my feed on Twitter be unhinged and silly and I just can't get that here. Half the people on my feed are my mom's age, and that's *not bad* but it means for the first time in forever I'm detached from the stuff people my age are experiencing which feels really weird.

010

The Wilfindja Cybran ☀️🏳️‍⚧️ @junko-bunko.bsky.social · 27/08/2026

No matter how hard I try to cleanse my feed like I did on Twitter everything stays the same, because this really is just "what if Twitter from 2017 still was around and was also Facebook". There's not going to be any escaping 2012 ideas of how politics work more than a decade fucking later.

Plus everything I've seen points to people using bikes as transport so they don't want to lug around an inconvenient, potentially sweaty helmet. Which is lowkey a massive skill issue, I have to lug around heavier stuff everywhere I go and I'm fine.

The Wilfindja Cybran ☀️🏳️‍⚧️ @junko-bunko.bsky.social · 26/08/2026

People keep pointing to people in Europe not wearing helmets as if that's a good thing? I don't care if they have cozy vibes from biking without a helmet casually you can't just assume they don't have accidents. The fundamental human experience doesn't disappear across seas.

Literally the US government can do the same thing, that isn't communist. Communism isn't just whenever a government does something. The Soviet Union is gone, Russia is not a communist nation in any capacity.
