Bill Cassidy and the other members of Congress from Louisiana solved the problem of pushback at town meetings way back in 2017 when they were trying to repeal the Affordable Care Act during the first Trump administration. Though I didn't vote for him, I gave Orange Man a chance in 2016, hoping he wouldn't be as bad as I expected. He was much worse. Now, he's out of control, and no one in the GOP is willing to confront him. The damage he's done to the country in his first few days is unimaginably destructive.

Jimmy Carter stayed alive long enough to vote for Kamala Harris. He didn't live to see Orange Man inaugurated. His grandson Jason's speech was lovely. Carter was a good man and a good president. I will miss him. I couldn't help but think of what a good president Kamala Harris would have been.
