PyCon DE & PyData @pyconde.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

The team that built the last PyCon is coming back for Heidelberg. Almost everyone signed up to do it all over again, which is the best kind of vote of confidence in this community. There are still two great ways to help shape the conference: pycon.de/blog/call-fo...

Look what I got! The 2nd Edition is finally here! Highly recommend if you work with data systems. Thanks @martin.kleppmann.com for the update #DDIA

Why invest energy in D&I work when it's being questioned everywhere? Because barriers are real. Because Python is global. This is what not giving up looks like. georgiker.com/blog/python-... @juliobs.com @lernerpython.com @riecatnor.bsky.social @sayab.bsky.social @karobotco.bsky.social

@marcogorelli.bsky.social We were talking about Hermeto Pascoal just last week. Sadly, I won’t be able to attend his concert after all; he passed away a couple of hours ago at the age of 89 😭. His music was truly unique. He was a genius #RIP

I suffered from GAS! That is "Gear Acquisition Syndrome" 😉. Now I'm selling lots of unused photo gear. Yesterday, I sold a lens I hadn't used in years. I decided to test it before shipping and I'm glad I did: I almost sold a "brick". My new camera was completly frozen until I removed the battery.

Went voting this morning! 🇩🇪🗳️ Well, not really... I just dropped off my wife's letter (into that not well identified box in front of the Kreishaus... )

I only found this today, there is an option to enable 4x playback speed in the official YouTube app.
