Just finished this sweet little book. Put it in the hands of a teen who isn’t quite sure what their pronouns are, or who feels like they don’t belong anywhere and need a cozy place to daydream about. Or in the hands of a grown-up who enjoys a bit of fantasy and dress-up. #books

Ta-daa! Birthday sweater for The Hobbit’s third year on Earth, pre-blocking. It’s the Holger pattern by Petite Knit. I had So Much Fun playing with the color blocking and stripes.

Small 3 colours striped sweater - the stripes are blue and beige, one sleeve is blue with a rust cuff, the other is rust with a beige cuff, and the body’s ribbing and collar are in rust.

Special shout to the metro stations, which are a mid-century modern design exhibition. Some photos:

Some thoughts on Prague before I leave it: Super loved it. Very walkable and cyclable city. Public transport is a dream. The buildings are gorgeous everywhere you look. The locals are kind and friendly. The whole city is clean. They have babies climbing TV towers.

Prague TV tower. It’s made of three quarters that marge into one 3 quarters of the way up. It has a few rooms protruding out straight out of the space age. Statues of giant babies are stuck to it, the babies seem to be crawling up and down the tower.

The clouds moved in at the maximum which was a bummer, but we got a sundog out of it, which was super cool! #eclipse

The sun during the eclipse, noticeably less bright than usual, just above the tree line. A bit further to the right a second spot of light is visible, an optical illusion of having two suns in the sky.

Finished, ends woven, and blocked: my first ever colour work! Yarn is Mille Colori from Lang Yarn and Arwetta from Filcolana. The socks are actually for my sister. #knitting

Many useful tips to identify wheat in comments (it’s the one that doesn’t have long hair), but rye and barley seem harder to differentiate. We think this is rye though:

A stem of rye (i think). It’s beige-yellow, thin and has long hair.

This gorgeous tree is just in front of our house and I look at it everyday a dozen times from the terrace or the windows. But I always look at the same side. Today the weather is perfect for sitting out and I put my lawn chair on the other side and it feels like I am discovering a whole new tree.
