It was awesome to hear it played live in full at the 25th anniversary show in 2016!

Not necessarily my top nine artists (except no. 1 — duh! 🤣), but definitely nine albums that have ZERO skips! I purposely chose only one album per artist; otherwise it would be mostly Duran Duran. I’ll do an all-DD one next!

The funniest part about writing “Behind the Setlist” (and experiencing the real-life events that inspired it)? The biggest drama wasn’t backstage… it was inside Mia’s own head. Her (and my) internal monologue was basically its own character. 😂 a.co/d/06by8Tt3

This Day In Duran Duran History: Jimmy Kimmel Live in 2015! I stood for hours on a metal grate; I was in so much pain I couldn’t walk back to my car & sat on the sidewalk w/ my shoes off. I guess you could say it was “time to take the Pressure Off.” 🫣 I’ll be here all week, folks. Try the veal! 😆

Found this among all the Duran Duran books in my bookcase… I’m gonna frame it! The b/w photo is a glossy print, so I must’ve gotten it as a trade photo at R&R when they got their Hollywood star in 1993. Why it and my own pic are glued onto pink paper, I cannot tell you. 🤷‍♀️😂

If someone FaceTimed me unexpectedly... I'd probably panic. If that someone happened to be an internationally famous rock musician... I'd panic even more. Mia handles it about as well as you would expect. 😁 Inspired by a true story! 😳 www.amazon.com/dp/B0HBZKD77W/

How would YOU react if one of your favorite rock stars gave you his phone number? If you're the heroine of my novella...you don't even notice until hours later. 😂 Only then does the existential crisis begin! "Behind the Setlist" is full of moments that actually made me laugh while writing them…

This is the actual Kodak print that Andy — and all of them — had signed! Taken before the July 16, 2003 Pacific Amphitheatre show in Costa Mesa as part of a meet & greet hosted by local radio station KYSR (Star 98.7).

Next: ME. THEM. WOW! (Local radio guy on the far left — needed him in the photo to make it radio-related and therefore relevant to R&R’s audience. 🤣)

It was 23 years ago today, Duran Duran brought the band to play… at the Santa Barbara Bowl! This was the reunion tour show where I not only got to do the M&G but also take a band pic to be printed in R&R. First up: Andy Taylor during the meet & greet, signing a previous photo I’d taken with DD!

I’d love to review my own book, but that’s sort of against the ToS! 🤣 But *YOU* can review it—and I’d be so appreciative if you did. Reviews really help authors get their books noticed. So if you’ve read it: 1. THANK YOU. ❤️ 2. Please consider leaving an honest review on Amazon and/or Goodreads. 🙏

Ever since I published “Behind the Setlist,” I’ve been the target of these spammy emails. I guess it’s a rite of passage for an indie author, but if you’re gonna try to scam me, at least put some effort into it! Sheesh! 😂

…I think my UK peeps 🇬🇧 might particularly like the story, because lead character Mia grew up listening to Bowie, Queen & Pink Floyd and is a mega Duranie. And Harry, the rockstar with whom she has a rather strange, um, “encounter,” is Scottish. (In the book, anyway. 😉) UK link: amzn.eu/d/02qNVEmx

Amazon has discounted the paperback by 8 cents! 🤣🤷🏼‍♀️ I have no idea why, but it’s telling that it can be delivered *tomorrow* with Prime. It’s “print on demand,” which under normal circumstances would mean Amazon would need a few days to fulfill an order. This tells me they printed one or more extras…

Wow, this review! 😍 They really understood Mia’s predicament! And I love the juxtaposition with “Almost Famous”… Mia definitely doesn’t want to be a “Band-Aid.” 😉 I somehow need to get Cameron Crowe’s eyes on this. Who’s got the hookup?
