This summer we encountered an European green toad (Bufotes viridis) on our trip in Lithuania. Its very rare in Sweden and #NordensArk is breeding it for its conservation. In Lithuania we just found it under our tent 🏕️🐸

Have you noticed many butterflies lately? Perhaps you've even spotted a painted lady (Vanessa cardui; tistelfjäril)? This year looks like it could become one of the rare years when painted ladies migrate to Sweden in exceptionally high numbers. Keep an eye out—you might be lucky enough to see one!
