I like how subway stations smell. It's the old-person-house smell of public space smells. Kinda moldy, kinda dusty, and all pretty unique. SP subway smells different from NY or Tokyo. The yellow line cars in SP used to smell just like the express train from Narita to Tokyo tho.

Back in the day, everyone made _something_. We met over text interfaces with no visuals, no avatars, no cameras. Creating and sharing whatever we could (mspaint drawings, audio recordings, fonts, games, scripts) was our only option to expand the human behind the screen.

A gente enfrenta a mesma dificuldade revisando código :| Código tem "comentarios", um texto não interpretado pela máquina que serve pra gente descrever esse raciocínio. Os comentários da IA são sempre mecânicos. Mesmo que a gente peça, ela não descreve o "porquê", só o "como".

THis is actually a really good illustration of why LLMs are just...kind of not that good at a lot of the things they're sold as being good at: The thing doesn't fucking understand or know what the question is, it's doing pattern recognition and that breaks down on a long enough timescale.

It remains to be seen how the Venezuelan people will respond to a more overt CIA presence in the country post-Maduro. For years, Maduro cast the CIA as a convenient boogey man, repeatedly accusing the agency – without evidence – of attempting to topple his regime as he clung to power despite US opposition.

Now, the CIA has helped supplant Maduro and is poised to help actively manage the Trump administration’s dealings with Venezuela’s new leadership.
