This is precisely what I've been thinking. How on earth is anyone even remotely surprised? To me the only surprising thing is Anyone gives a shit about it. When I was in college in 80s it was a given if you went to a frat party you'd get raped. Which is why none of my friends ever went to one.

Just finished edit of manuscript of my lyric researched memoir about being diagnosed autistic at 57. Managed to do this in 10 days and cut 11,700 word thanks to monotropism. Now I just want to cry. Don't let anyone ever tell you writing isn't labor. Emotional, intellectual, spiritual and physical.

Because of the weird will to call disabled people who write about what we need to do to care for ourselves privileged...Let me state this as clearly as I can: crip time is not a privilege it's a reality. The only choice is to accept and find ways to embrace that or try to overrule it and get sicker.
