The party is attending a masquerade which means everyone gets to dress up! Unfortunately for Saverio, he let Strahd choose his outfit (it's a long story with good intentions but lessons learned) It's not the theme he would have gone with but he'd like to think he's pulling it off! #curseofstrahd

SO THIS SUMMER HAS BEEN HELL FOR ME MEDICALLY WISE (guess who got lyme disease then broke their toe lol in the same month lol) but I'm feeling better and still pushing through enough to draw again! Which means more WIPs (one day I'll have finished work I promise) Official masquerade outfit WIP~

“I prefer my eggs sunny side up” “poached” “scrambled” I prefer mine in a cake, we are not the same

A big bite has been taken from the cake by the silver spoon resting on the plate. Next to the plate with the cake is a menu stand displaying the name of this dessert (Matilda Cake) and the name of the restaurant this photo was taken in (Chico’s, Brick Lane)

Caught mid-chat for #TongueOutTuesday! Fun fact: crowned lemurs are sexually dichromatic — males and females actually have different coloring. Females are gray with an orange "tiara," while males sport a darker reddish-brown coat with a bigger black-and-orange crown. 📸: Mathias Appel

A close-up of a crowned lemur's head and shoulders, mouth open showing its bottom teeth, bright orange eyes wide, with an orange-and-black "crown" patch on its forehead against a blurred green background.

My inspiration for Kovu & Kiara having quadruplets in my HC came from these official pieces of concept art. However it isn't confirmed if those cubs were indeed meant to be Kovu & Kiara's, for there's also the possibility that they might just be some random cubs of the pride.

Pencil scribbles of Kovu smiling as he's surrounded by playful & affectionate cubs, with an happy Kiara standing next to his side. Simba is sitting in the distance, contentedly watching this endearing display.

Same as previous image, except with visible changes such as Kiara's head drawn in a different angle, as well as the addition of three lionesses behind Simba. There's a sticky note on the bottom that says "O.K."

It feels like it's been AGES since I put up any of my own things (because it has) so while I'm still in the commission mines, I do want to share some CoS WIPs I've been hammering at on the side again. Some doodles and scenes from our game (which hopefully will make sense in time~) #curseofstrahd

The normal Malagasy translation for “adolescent” is “zatovo”, which literally means “unmarried youth”. But sometime in the twentieth century, someone came up with “adolantsento”, which is pronounced almost like the English pronunciation of “adolescent”, and literally means “shaken by sighs”. 🇲🇬

Took a mini break from commissions to draw for myself, and realized it's been ages since I've showed any WIPs! So have some Sav studies I was doing for myself (specifically his gothic-heroine-in-a-castle get up when he was nosing around Ravenloft)

#WorldLemurDay : The Craft Art Winner in the Lemur Conservation Foundation's World Lemur Festival Juried Art Contest is “A diverse taxon” by Amrei Pfaff of Göttingen, Germany. “On 30 squares, 27 different species from all 15 genera of #lemur are represented.” www.lemurreserve.org/world-lemur-...

“This crochet artwork highlights the diversity of lemurs,” Amrei said. “On 30 squares, 27 different species from all 15 genera of lemur are represented. Additionally, this project showcases the sexual dichromatism present within the Eulemur taxon by including the male and female phenotype of three Eulemur species.”

My favorite Malagasy cryptid is the Mpaka Fo (Heart-Taker). What does it do? Kills people and literally steals their hearts out of their chests. What does it look like? A white person. Caucasian, if you wish. Just… a normal white person. 🇲🇬

Random travel and/or communication advice: If your name is Taylor or any name that can be shortened to “Tay”, it is probably best not to introduce yourself to Malagasy people as “Tay”. Look, it’s just going to be awkward to ask us to call you poop, shit, feces, etc. 🇲🇬

“Zo” (pronounced “zou”), meaning “right” as in “inalienable rights” is likely the shortest existing Malagasy given name. 🇲🇬

Saw a post the other day that went, “the dinosaurs didn’t have coffee and look how that went for them”. I dunno, y’all. I *wish* humanity would survive as long on Earth as the dinosaurs did. We’re not even one fiftieth of the way there, and look how we’re managing so far.
