She looks so beautiful, honestly I like her dress better than some of the celebs!

Saw this post today and it made me think of the discourse around Heated Rivalry and how realistic it is. Terrible that sports continues to be an unsafe space for many queer athletes.

Shoot, Lizzie McGuire is 25 years old today?! Happy anniversary to the coolest girl in the world (at least to baby me). I’d still kill for her wardrobe. www.teenvogue.com/story/every-...

Gee, I wonder if I like the found family trope! Heartstopper, Six of Crows, Nancy Drew, and The Winchesters 💜

The cast of Heartstopper, a group of six teens, sipping milkshakes and smiling at the camera. From left to right: Darcy and Tara, Charlie and Nick, Tao and Elle.

A Polaroid shot of the cast of Six of Crows out of character. The group sits on a couch and are smiling at the camera. From left: Callahan Skogman, Danielle Galligan, Amita Suman, Freddy Carter, Kit Young, and Jack Wolfe.

The main Nancy Drew gang facing the camera, all looking scared. It’s taken at night with bluish lighting. From left: Ace, George, Nancy, Bess, and Nick.

The main cast of The Winchesters in costume and on set, but out of character. They’re sitting in the front seat of a 70s Volkswagen van smiling for the camera. From left: Lata, Carlos, John, and Mary (Nida Khurshid, Jojo Fleites, Drake Rodger, and Meg Donnelly).

In a weekend full of horrific tragedy, this one hit hard. The Princess Bride was the movie that made me fall in love with movies. I watched the making of documentary hundreds of times as a kid. Rob Reiner is a giant for many other reasons, but giving the world this perfect film is top for me.

Saw Frankenstein in a packed house tonight and loved it. I was ugly sobbing by the end - Jacob Elordi, Mike Hill, and @realgdt.bsky.social did justice to the Creature I’ve loved while reading Shelley all these years. Such care and love went into every frame. See it in a theater while you can!!

Portrait of Jacob Elordi as the Creature in Guillermo del Toro’s film Frankenstein. He is a pale man with stringy, long brown hair. He has scars across his face.

Well I have fully lost my voice after the #IWTV panel last night but this is #NYCC so we soldier on 🫡 Also if anyone needs me I’m still thinking about these shots. And Assad calling himself “daddy.” 😭

Sam Reid as Lestat in Interview with the Vampire. He is shirtless and covered in blood, eyes closed in ecstasy.

Sam Reid as Lestat in Interview with the Vampire. He is on stage performing but the shot is in close up. The soft lighting is blue to accentuate the blue contacts in his eyes.

Phew. What a goddamn powerful piece of writing. Just gorgeous.

"Hope means both everything and nothing at all, and yet it is always purported to be within reach. Hope is the fluorescent bird. The bird makes no sound. It is in a cage. No one can find the key, and no one has seen the key in a very long time, and they aren’t sure that they’d even free the bird if they found the key. And yet, collectively, people must keep asking for it."

Always a moving part of a con… Have faith, promises were made You just take care and behave You left, and now you are saved The path, it walks you away And meanwhile the house is empty The floors lay, naked and weary The walls, barely hanging on, carry on And SHE WAITS for you. #SPNBOS #SPNBoston

Happy 20th, Alaska 💜 “I go to seek a great perhaps” was my high school yearbook quote for a good reason! Images are from Hulu’s promotion of the series.

Photo of the underside of a wooden bridge. Graffiti including daisies is painted on with the quote “These are the days that must happen to you - Walt Whitman.”

Photo of a forest at night. Text in white is superimposed and reads “I don’t know where there is, but I know it’s somewhere, and I hope that it’s beautiful.”

Photo of a lake at dawn with mist coming off it. Text in black is superimposed that reads “I go to seek a great perhaps.”

If you’re a stats nerd who loves to read, I recommend @thestorygraph.com as an alternative to Goodreads. My 2024 was much better than I thought it would be! app.thestorygraph.com/wrap-up/2024...

A graphic representation of the books I’ve read this year, with each cover given its own square in a rectangular grid. The link attached to the post has all the titles.

I fully admit that I am not a Star Wars fanatic, but I think this poster, Rogue One, and Phantom Menace are three of the hardest hitting teaser posters ever. Simple, direct, and visually arresting.

Movie poster for Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace. A young blonde boy stands in front of a rock face. The shadow behind him takes the iconic shape of Darth Vader, foreshadowing this boy’s transformation into the villain.

Movie poster for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The foreground is a battle being fought on a tropical beach. Looming over it all is the image of the Death Star in the sky.

I don’t think these films could be more different if I had purposely tried 😂

A still from the film Heretic. An older man (Hugh Grant) sits to the left and is talking earnestly to two modestly dressed Mormon women (Sophie Thatcher and Chloe East) seated on a couch.

A still from the movie Gladiator 2. Two gladiators played by Paul Mescal and Pedro Pescal fight in an arena.

A still from the movie A Real Pain. On the left a well dressed man (Jesse Eisenberg) sitting next to a casually dressed man (Kieran Culkin). Both are listening intently to an unseen speaker.

Finally managed to do all my Christmas gift shopping on #SmallBusinessSaturday this year as opposed to panic buying two weeks out. As a reward, my executive function will now take a month off 😂

A behind the scenes image from The Boys featuring Jack Quaid as Hughie and Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy. Jensen is running his hands together in glee while Jack laughs. Jensen is saying “ho ho, let the games begin.”

Hey #IWTV US fans: anyone want a brand new season two blu ray? Due to unforeseen circumstances/my own dumb fault, I ended up with two copies when I only need one. Figured I’d offer to the community here since I can’t return it. I paid $22 including shipping so I’ll let it go for $15 plus shipping.

Interview with the Vampire season two blu ray set, new and still in its packaging.

Summary
Castiel Novak is a former boy band member turned rock star who has been hiding his sexuality for years by fake dating his best friend, Meg Masters. His only place for true connection is on an anonymous Discord server where he falls in love with another user who claims to know nothing about Castiel Novak's music.

That user is Dean, a comfortably out bisexual car mechanic from Lebanon, KS who has a not-so-subtle crush on Castiel Novak after a chance encounter when they were teenagers. He is in love with Clarence, his buddy from the Discord server he and his adopted sister Charlie set up years ago. Dean has no idea the man he's in love with is actually the musician he adores. When Lebanon is picked as the new setting for Castiel Novak's latest video, both Cas and Dean have to confront their pasts and try to build a new future together.

Summary
Dean Winchester is a man who believes he has no future. Wounded in World War I and living with a facial disfigurement, he mourns for the life he once led – and the man he once loved – by writing poetry and shutting out the world.

Castiel Novak is a man living in the past. Lost in a web of grief and guilt after the death of his brother Gabriel, he pours all of his energy into running the Mt. Paradise Hotel, a place for veterans to heal. But while Castiel is well versed in the art of healing others, he doesn’t believe he is worthy of the same treatment.

When Dean becomes the newest resident of the Mt. Paradise Hotel, both he and Castiel will need to face the ghosts of their pasts to make a future worth living for.
