Such a delight to get to document the behind the scenes of @shing.bsky.social ‘s short film, and also to get to see firsthand the movie magic of a marionette musical about community when the world is falling apart. 🫶🏼

Law enforcement is violently targeting press at protests around Los Angeles, from easily recognizable "mainstream" outlets to freelancers and independents. ALL press have explicit legal protections in California. #JournalismIsNotACrime. This evidence thread may get graphic. 🧵👇

Can a producer for @lauracoates.com @cnn.com @cnn-news.bsky.social get in touch with me ASAP? Your guests are factually wrong on the law in California and this is dangerous. Press exempt from arrest per CA Penal Code 409.7. I negotiated language of the law. You need to correct this ASAP.

This piece from @smathewss.bsky.social is brilliant (as is the linked one from @chrysaora.bsky.social - xuhulk.bearblog.dev/make-it-make...) Exactly what I needed this morning. Caffeine & calories for a tired brain. ☕️
