The level design is more intricate and the world-building even richer this time around, but I found myself genuinely moved by Dalia’s journey, especially in how much I relate to her strained relationship with her step-mother. This talk breaks down the shader-driven approach behind Ambrosia Sky’s volumetric destruction system and fungus animation pipeline. It covers how we overcame technical constraints while creating dense, reactive fungus species in our environments to meet art, design and gameplay goals. Through examples from development, it explores a hybrid pipeline of Houdini and Unreal Engine, using Vertex Animation Textures (VATs) alongside shader-based vertex deformations in Unreal to achieve visual complexity in reactive environments.

Unity used to require a "made with unity" splash on games made with the free version. This resulted in a crisis of perception when players began to associate "made with unity" with beginner projects that didn't play very well. Anyway I'm sure this will work out fine

It came time for me to once again check in and see if AI coding models have started producing useful output. So here's what AI suggested as an autocomplete on some code. The code is just an empty class, so you'd think the AI would knock it out the park with like a default constructor or something. Possibly even some stubs inferred from the class name and nearby comments. But no, what we get is a constructor copied from some other class followed by a malformed copy constructor that falls into model collapse and starts repeating "affor affor affor" and "miniatur miniatur miniatur" like an utterly k-holed billionaire trying to tell joe rogan about his warhammer army

It remains fucking *bonkers* that people let this shit run unsupervised on production code. I think on balance I'm quite happy writing code using my brain and hands actually
