There was no rain in D.C. Friday night, but even a threat of scattered showers was enough to melt Vanilla Ice‘s planned performance on the National Lawn as part of the Freedom 250 events. I was just reminded that April is Autism Acceptance month. I don’t like to say “awareness” because of the connection it has to Autism Speaks, an organization people need to know more about in terms of the harm it’s done towards us. We need acceptance and understanding, not fear mongering.
