Finished Valkyria Chronicles II. It's one of my favorite series, but for the longest time I could only play 1 and 4 because 2 and 3 had been released for the PSP and I lost mine in a move. But in fact, when I finally tried to play it using an emulator it was really easy!

Finished reading Warhammer Fantasy Battles 1st ed, and at first I was confused by the way it combines wargames and rpgs. But there's an example adventure which shows how it's done, and it's actually pretty cool. The adventurers can recruit troops for bigger fights.

I'm reading the 1st ed of Warhammer Fantasy Battle and there's an interesting fluidity here between a wargame and an rpg. It can be used for both purposes, without a clear separation.

This comes up in larp documentation so much. Larp cultures are often localized and fragmented, meaning that in a local microculture everyone does share the writer's assumptions, but communication collapses surprisingly quickly when the text reaches more people.

This is a real, and baffling, phenomenon. But I've also seen people getting reprimanded, or even fired, for using AI too much in their jobs. It shows as low quality work and sometimes the demands of a job are higher than copypasting a ChatGTP reply.

Report from the latest meeting of the RPG Film Club! We started, as is traditional, with Nyarko-san Another Crawling Chaos (2012). This is a harem anime based on the Call of Cthulhu RPG. Even though we are up to episode 10 of the first season, I still struggle to believe that this series exists.
