I know emotional impact is important but... why are Spider-Man's worst stories almost always the ones with emotional impact. Parents/Clones/The Devil. Why do creators keep going back to bad stories thinking they can do it 'right' this time. Slott didnt make clones work when he did clone conspiracy

I love that he got to do them all. It took 30 years but he did everything ever written about Poirot.

John Hammond from Jurassic Park. Which might actually work. If were lucky they'll get the Crichton ending from the novel and get eaten by their .monster

I wonder if they mean transformer fans are A Cult?

000

juggergrimm.bsky.social @juggergrimm.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

More then likely treating Transformer fans as a cult

juggergrimm.bsky.social @juggergrimm.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

Thats why he's pointing out the use of the word 'cult' is odd. You cant be a 'cult' hit if your a cultural phenomenon and a record setting blockbuster.

I can only sympathise when comics creators talk about how hard it is to create short stories. I’m sure that’s true. And it only makes Stan Sakai all the more impressive, because this 3 page Usagi Yojimbo story from 1999 - coloured by Tom Luth - is absolutely & utterly brilliant.

Not exactly Peter David's best work but George Perez is having fun letting his freak flag fly, if only a little

Yeah but I have pattern recognition. A CGI/cartoon comedy character in a nerd/superhero property that comes in for a scene or two that "needs" a celebrity voice... Seth Rogen.

I can hear it. My fear is that they do Seth Rogen.

I think in this case its the inker. If memory serves Hitch and Davis were both being inked by Paul Neary. Although it is the case that Hitch started with a style that was very Alan Davis if a bit more realistic leaning.
