So glad that someone believes I'm a soccer fan, but hey... Eventually scammers will learn that sending 18 copies of the exact same email within a minute is not necessary, because all if it goes directly to the spam folder. Idiots! (Image is a screenshot of my spam folder.) #Scammers #InternetSafety

No idea why anyone would want to steal a 2011 Toyota Yaris (one being held together by duct tape), but clearly someone really wanted it. But their attempt to steal my car was foiled by the immobilizer. They got it started, but only moved a meter before the engine crapped out. #LifeSucks
The current state of the car with the ignition column completely taken apart, destroyed beyond usability, and the bit where you put the key is on the floor.

"Purple Rain" by Prince and the Revolution plays a big role in my novel "Dancing in the Purple Rain." Fun fact: the book's title is NOT a line in the song, though the title will create instant song association. And readers have said the song becomes an earworm. #PretendPanel #BookSky Links in bio.

Many story structure models focus on the protagonist, treating the antagonist as irrelevant. But without an antagonist, you have no conflict. And antagonist don't need to be characters. "Antagonistic Beats of a Story" is out now. judylmohr.com/books/antago... #BookSky #WriteSky #WritingCommunity

I’m currently reading “Hyphens & Hashtags”, a book about the history of punctuation. Apparently, in 1837, two Frenchmen decided that a duel was necessary over the use of a semicolon. Snippet from my work-in-progress: The shooter lay on his stomach with his eye pressed to the scope. 600 meters. It was a baby's shot. Any sniper could make this shot. But he didn't trust anyone else to do it. This shot wasn't about making the immediate kill. It was about dragging out the torture, making sure that the hunters knew they were now the hunted.

Her job was to deliver the package—not question why or how chaos would be unleashed on the world. But one day, a drop would turn sour, forcing her to take matters into her own hands. Or perhaps it already had... Shame she couldn't remember. The rain starts August 1st. #BluePit📖 #A #SF #SP #P

It was crickets last time I ran an #AskMeAnythingFriday post, but I'm not giving up. There is so much knowledge in my head, and I know that many other writers have questions. If you have a question about #writing, #editing, or #publishing, ask away. #AskMeAnything #WritingCommunity #WriteSky
A caricature of myself with a question mark hanging over my head.
